Let us entertain you while you entertain your guests. Fly Fishing the North Platte River is the perfect way to develop a personal connection that amplifies your business relationship. Customers return when there is a strong personal relationship and that translates to business success. We’ve been connecting folks, through fishing, for 20 years.
We will make the arrangements, all you have to do is get to Casper/Natrona County International Airport and we’ll do the rest. Our airport shuttle will meet your group and transport you to our secluded and private location only 35 minutes from the airport.
Our staff prepares spectacular family-style meals beginning with dinner the arrival evening through breakfast the morning of your departure. Libations are available at North Platte Lodge via package sales. Top shelf liquor, beer and wine at liquor store prices. Make yourself at home and pour your own, better yet pour one for your customer. No waiting for staff to serve you, continually tipping or vying for the “next round”. Your days are spent fishing the North Platte River. Two anglers share one drift boat with their guide. We provide fishing gear and flies. Wade 17 miles of exclusive Grey Reef private access or fish from the drift boat for the ultimate in comfort and continually changing scenery. Novice anglers experience a very high rate of success and leave with memorable photos of trout and smiles. Groups reconnect for high-fives and a shore lunch before heading out for the afternoon session. A quick shower, delicious appetizers and a cocktail are prelude to another filling 3 course dinner and evening lounging on the veranda discussing the big view and big trout.
North Platte Lodge enjoys one of the most desirable locations on a trout river, anywhere. Noise, traffic and humanity struggle to reach the lowest levels near our exclusive Grey Reef location. However, North Platte Lodge is connected with cellular service, wifi and close proximity to Casper, Wyoming. Casper is a city that has all the services one would expect from civilization plus a fun downtown, culture, dining, shopping and frontier history.
What else? We don’t think you’ll have time or the appetite to leave but there is a myriad of bonuses in Central Wyoming. Fremont Canyon is our shock-and-awe geologic feature and is a 15 minute drive from the North Platte Lodge. Vertigo and trophy trout included. Alcova Reservoir is one of several lakes in our backyard. Walleye, trout and boating are popular activities at this scenic impoundment and the marina is only 15 minutes from Grey Reef Rd. Independence Rock is a cultural icon of the Oregon Trail and a 30 minute drive. In fact, the great migration took place in the proximity of Alcova, Wyoming. Casper is Wyoming’s City or WyoCity. Also known as the Oil Capitol of the West, Casper is home to many museums, eateries, shopping, and is a regional center for medicine and the extraction industry. We suggest a stop by Lou Taubert’s Ranch Outfitters after taking your arrival day lunch at one of many restaurants within walking distance in Casper’s Historic Downtown District. Golf at one of 4 courses, ride or hike singletrack trails on Casper Mountain or take a short stroll up to Garden Creek Falls.
