Wyoming Sage Grouse Hunting
Nothing compares to watching a covey of sage grouse rise amidst a group of good pointing or flushing dogs. Hunting sage grouse with North Platte Lodge is a great game-plan for success. Our hunters rarely return without their limit. Why? Because we’ve leased thousands of acres of prime sage grouse habitat exclusively for you.
The sage grouse is a species indigenous to Central Wyoming. A large bird inhabiting sagebrush plains, they’re typically found in sizable coveys. For the upland hunter they offer great sport and an opportunity at a native North American game bird. North Platte Lodge boasts some of the finest sage grouse hunting in Wyoming or anywhere. Our sage grouse season lasts only 10 days, therefore these popular hunts must be booked in advance.
North Platte Lodge adheres to all Wyoming Game and Fish hunting and fishing regulations. Each hunter will only harvest their legal daily limit and will not go above their possession limit. Sage Grouse make an exceptional mount and we are happy to properly package and ship the birds to the taxidermist. Hunters must take their birds with them or we can ship them at the hunter’s expense.
